Forklift Yard Ramp Specifications
Our ramps are 70, 84, or 96 inches wide, with capacity between 16,000 and 35,000 lbs. On our 30-foot forklift trailer ramps, the height range is between 38 and 60 inches.
Mobile Forklift Ramp Safety Features
8-Foot Level Off
This refers to a level surface of 8 feet at the top of the ramp, designed to facilitate safer and easier access for forklifts.
Low End Plate
The endplate of the ramp is positioned lower than the forklift’s wheelbase, allowing the front wheels of the forklift to reach the deck grating without lifting the back wheels off the ground. This design ensures smoother loading and unloading by minimizing bumps and providing easier ground-level entry.
15-Inch Lip
This lip rests on the dock platform, floor, or truck carrier body, ensuring stability and preventing the ramp from pulling away from the dock. Additionally, safety chains, presumably 8-foot in length, are included to further secure the ramp.
Platform Curbs
The ramp features a seven-inch safety curb, serving to prevent accidental runoff for forklifts. The design, which includes hollow sections, is optimized to withstand heavier loads and reduce stress on the ramp during cargo handling.

Hydraulic Pump
The single-acting hydraulic pump requires less effort to raise the ramp compared to competitors’ equipment, making operation easier. Its external location protects it from wear and tear, and the handle can be conveniently stored away when not in use.
18-Inch Pneumatic Tires
These tires are low-maintenance and feature lubricated bearings, making them essentially maintenance-free. They provide stability and ease of movement for the ramp without the need for tire refilling.
Positioning Sleeve
The positioning sleeve allows for 180 degrees of ramp maneuverability, facilitating efficient movement and saving time. The fork slides in the sleeve, enabling easy relocation of the ramp, although it’s not intended for long-distance towing.
Towbar
The towbar attaches to the lower end of the ramp, enabling operators to tow the ramp short distances at a maximum speed of 5 mph. This feature is designed for short-distance towing and is not suitable for over-the-road towing.
